Weddings – The West Wing

The West Wing is a grand building with an impressive frontage and glorious views of the parkland. The two major state rooms are:

The Saloon

The Saloon is the most important and largest state room. It features a heavily decorated plasterwork ceiling, two large ornate fireplaces, chandeliers and mock marble pillars.

The Gilt Hall

This is a grand room with gold coloured walls, a large stained glass window and views of the knot garden.

As there are a number of other smaller state rooms available it is advisable to make an appointment to view the Abbey and discuss your requirements. All of the rooms in the West Wing are accessible to disabled visitors and wheelchairs. The West Wing is warm and cosy in the winter.
