Gatehouse - Group Tour

Group Tours

Stoneleigh Abbey is open to the public from Good Friday to the end of October every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday for guided tours at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Tour groups can be booked outside of those times and are very welcome. Evening tours are available.

Tours usually last about an hour and a half and can be split into two parts with a tea break in the middle if preferred. Our guides are always learning about the Abbey and so every tour is different, not scripted, and is adapted to suit the audience. Tours can be themed if visitors have a specific interest. For example the Jane Austen Tour, the Architecture Tour or the Repton Gardens Tour.

There is a very large car park with ample space for coaches. Drivers are invited to stop at the Gatehouse (the point of entry to the Abbey for visitors) to allow their passengers to alight before parking. The car park is fully lit at night.

The tea room serves hot and cold drinks and cakes. Any groups requiring lunches should telephone 01926 858535 with their enquiry.

All of the State Rooms in the West Wing are accessible to disabled visitors by means of a lift.

Rest room facilities are located in the West Wing and in the grounds.

There is always a First Aid trained member of staff on duty.
